Due to its location, the Las Lajas Basilica is probably one of the most beautiful churches in Colombia. It was built in the early 20th century in Gothic Revival style and is situated in the middle of a canyon over the Río Guáitara, only 10 km away from the border with Ecuador.
The canyon can be crossed by a bridge and from the paths winding up both sides of the canyon, the church can be admired and photographed from every possible perspective. The entry to the church is free and only if you like to visit the associated museum you need to pay a small fee.

Die Basilika Las Lajas ist aufgrund ihrer Lage wohl eine der am schönsten gelegenen Kirchen Kolumbiens und weiß auch durch seine im neugotischen Stil gehaltene Architektur mehr als zu überzeugen. Nur 10km entfernt von der Grenze zu Ecuador, inmitten einer tiefen Schlucht im Canyon des Flusses Río Guáitara zieht das Anfang des 20. Jahrhundert errichtete Gebäude seit vielen Jahren Unmengen von Touristen bis in den tiefsten Süden Kolumbiens.
Der Canyon kann über eine Brücke überquert werden und von den Wegen die sich auf beiden Seiten der Schlucht hinaufschlängeln, kann die Kirche von jeder erdenklichen Perspektive bestaunt und fotografiert werden. Der Eintritt in die Kirche ist gratis und auch ein zugehöriges Museum kann hier besucht werden.

Debido a su ubicación, la Basílica de Las Lajas es probablemente una de las iglesias más bellas de Colombia. Fue construido a principios del siglo XX en estilo neogótico y está situado en el medio de un cañón sobre el río Guáitara, a solo 10 km de la frontera con Ecuador.
Es posible cruzar el cañón a través de un puente y desde los senderos que se encuentran a ambos lados del cañón. Esto permite que la iglesia pueda ser admirada y fotografiada desde todas las perspectivas. La entrada a la iglesia es gratuita y solo si deseas visitar el museo, debes pagar una pequeña tarifa.

Me ayuda de mucho puesto que me voy a Colombia a vacacionar, y esto me sirve de mucho, Jajaja. Así puedo tener una pequeña noción de los atractivos que en ella hay.
De ante mano le digo que siga con estos por y bueno, Me cautivo la imagen de la cascada, y bueno la basílica también esta hermosa. Cuanta belleza tenemos en américa y no lo sabemos.
