in #travel5 years ago

A raining day in Toronto a good reason why I went and took a look at the Art Gallery of Ontario where recently occurred a temporary exhibition about the Impressionism during the age of the industry. It basically covers the period between the modernization of Paris and the beginning of the 20th century.

And this exhibition took me a few years ago when I have been to Paris and visited the Louvre and the Museum d'Orsay. Immersing in an important historical period in France through the technique of painting outdoors which that specific way to brush colour, emotions, situation. Part of a heritage which is exposed here in Toronto. But the photos express better than my words.

This gallery is large enough and it is divided into four levels and it mostly pers contemporary arts, including in the museum visitors can see also a collection of Modern, African, European, Indigenous and Canadian arts. In addition, a section dedicated to photography.

In regards to Canadian arts, I appreciate observing the painting of Cornelius Krieghoff and his colours combined in order to express a very attractive sky in a white snow environment.

It is mentioned that he was identified as one of the best artists in Canada. As a matter of fact, its paintings are among the ones which most impressed me. Like this one below eloquent darkness slightly enlighten by the full moon and fire.
