Trip to Ukraine: National Nature Reserve on the island of Khortitsa

The Khortitsa National Reserve is located on the island of Khortitsa on the Dnipro river in the city of Zaporozhye.

Khortytsia has rare plants, centuries-old wild pears, ancient oaks, Tartar maple, black and silver poplar, and pine forests, which together have almost 1000 species.

Prevailingly, there are about 20 species of mammals and about 200 birds, including roe deer, weeds, foxes, kites, herons, turtles and others.
