Beardtown is a quaint little rural tourism attraction in Jiangyin, a county level city of Wuxi, which is between Changzhou, and the Suzhou, and its county level city of Zhangjiagang. By quaint, part of it looks like this.
"Beardtown" in this case refers the Chinese character on the right side to the photo: 胡子小镇. The characters 胡子 can mean beard, moustache, or whiskers, and 小镇 is small town or village. Hence, "Beardtown" being the de facto. What you are seeing here is a small strip of higher end hotels without a lot of rooms with an expensive per night room rate. Other than that, there is no real logic to what you here. Consider the following photos.
@ace108 bare with me. hope you understand, because you were here the two times I left, which is why I am directing this at you. Poking around Hive for the first time in a long time and resuming posting around Steemit days of old is a really bad I idea. I really have to give the platform credit for evolving in such a good way.

Hello @richristow thank you for your pictures of this quaint little town.
Are the people there friendly? I looks quiet.
I like the very first picture. The buildings are pretty.
The other pictures are interestingly weird. :)

The people are extremely friendly. Most people who want you to spend your money in their town would be, regardless of nationalitity.
