Ok so I have been to the Island of Capri about 100 times. I lived in Naples for about a year and my family is from there. I would take the ferry to the Island on a daily basis and could walk blind there! In this post Im going to give you one of Capris deepest secrets that many people don't know! You are going to want to take the early ferry to the island if you are not staying on the island in one of the amazingly super lux hotels and when you get to the port and are looking up at the Island there is a little scooter rental place right up Via Truglio called Oasi Motor Via Cristoforo Colombo, 47, 80076 Capri NA, Italy
Once you have rented a scooter you have the liberty to go wherever you want. In this case you want to go to the Piazzetta Piazza Umberto I, 80076 Capri NA, Italy 
You can spend hours all around the top of Capri and look at shops grab some coffee and just enjoy the atmosphere. After this place you will want to head to the other side of the island to Marina Piccola
The Faraglione is basically a hole in the rock where boats pass through. Cool site to see and you will find many panoramic spots to stop the scooter and take selfies or pics on your way to Marina Piccola
Ok so now its time to go see the Grotta Azzurra, but one more place to see before we go to the Grotta plug this address into your phone so you can get an idea of where the Grotta is Via Grotta Azzurra, 80071 Anacapri NA, Italy 
But first stop Lido del Faro Anacapri, Str. Faro di Carena, 80071 Anacapri NA, Italy Pictures dont do this place justice. 
This place looks out into the Mediterranean sea and is one of the more laxed beaches (There are only a couple of them)on the island if you want to take a dip in the Med. Anyways after you have enjoyed this place you make your way upto the Grotta. Park in the parking lot and make your way down to the water. You want to catch a water taxi and these guys are like Pirates, little rough and will always go faster for you with a tip!!!! Take the tour and go into the cave. 
Now if you have timed all this right it will be around 4pm when you get here. The boats go away at 5pm so after they leave the big secret that many people dont know is YOU CAN SWIM IN THE GROTTA AZZURRA!!!!! I cant tell you what a magical experience it is swimming in the Grotta. I have been there on overcast days and there was nobody there except me and my girlfriend at the time. We wont go into details about that but lets just say it was intimate! One last thing, don't forget that the last ferry is at 7:30 and you dont want to miss it unless you want to stay at a Hotel if there is one available. So give your self enough time to get back to the port.
