Hi friends, good morning, today in the 3rd issue of the Exotic Places series, I bring you the biggest rock you'll ever see, PIEDRA DEL PEÑOL, located in my beautiful country COLOMBIA.
The peñol stone, is a monolith with more than 220 meters in height located in the municipality of Guadalupe in the state of Antioquia, this rock is composed of Quartz, feldspar and mica.
This rock was first climbed by Luis Eduardo Villegas, in the company of his friends, Ramón Díaz and Pedro Ramírez. At the moment it is not possible to climb by the risk but it can rise by means of an adapted staircase with more than 740 stairs constructed in the Same rock.
The immensity of stone became a single place where miles of people visit it all year round, also in the large dam that surrounds the rock.
