Surf-shelter in Russia: is that real? Серф-приют в России: это реально? (featuring @maryfromsochi as author)

I’m a real big fan of American culture.

Я фанат американской культуры, это так.

Our trip started in Krasnodar and it seemed to last for half of my life to reach the destination (five hours trip in a stuffy uncomfortable bus) while we were heading for a surf-shelter, Dolzhyanskaya kosa. It was heavily raining During the whole time we were bucking along in that creepy bus and the hope to have a little good rest was about to fall into oblivion just as our tents were about to turn into junk but fortunately soon we noticed that the sky had cleared and, moreover, there wasn’t any sight of a naughty downpour rain which had been our companion for such a long time. This was the first scene which had put me into confusion. I felt like we teleported and crossed the border of two endlessly contradicting worlds.

Наше путешествие началось в Краснодаре, и, мне показалось, что оно стоило мне половины жизни (поездка, длиною в пять часов, в маленьком душном автобусе). Мы направлялись в Серф-приют, Должанская коса. На протяжении всего времени, что мы тряслись в автобусе, шел сильный дождь, надежда на хороший отдых была близка к тому, чтобы раствориться в воздухе, в то время, как наши палатки превращались в ненужный хлам, однако, подъезжая, мы заметили, что небо проясняется, более того, следов бушующего ливня, который уже успел стать нашим компаньоном, практически нет. Это стало первым явлением, введшим меня в глубокое замешательство. Мы будто телепортировались, пересекли границу двух бесконечно противоречащих миров.

I imagined myself in California and I couldn’t bear the thought that we were still in Russia. It seemed to be another abstracted planet with its own atmosphere, people and laws. As a citizen of Sochi I got used to mediocrity and selfishness but the place has turned me completely inside out by its simplicity and intricacy at the same time.

Я почувствовала себя в Калифорнии, не могла смириться с мыслью что мы все также в России. Это была другая планета со своей атмосферой, людьми и законами. Будучи жителем Сочи, я успела привыкнуть к посредственности и эгоизму, но это место буквально вывернуло меня наизнанку своей простотой и замысловатостью в одно и то же время.

The nature there is magnificent and majestic. There you’re surrounded by two seas as if you were on the only inhabited island and the rest of the world was a desert. Sunny beaches, huge waves, strong wind and incredible thunderstorms… Every day in this wonderful place is unique (And not even a day there can be replaced.)

Природа там зачаровывающая и величественная. Окруженный двумя морями, Вы почувствуете себя на единственном обитаемом острове в бескрайнем пустынном мире. Солнечные пляжи, сильные волны, бушующие ветра, невероятные грозы. Каждый день в этом потрясающем месте неповторим.

The surf-shelter itself is well-equipped for those who are fond of active lifestyle. The power of this place will never allow you just to lie on the beach.

В самом серф-приюте есть все для тех, кому интересен активный образ жизни. Сама энергетика этого места не позволит Вам все выходные проваляться на пляже.

To my pleasure I saw a piece of the USA, which was too far and too close at the same time, in giant palms, wooden bungalows and laid-back hippies. I came across a place where I feel myself fully at ease, a place without everyday routine, a place I have been dreaming of and searching for. I received utter satisfaction and found something I really wanted to experience. And perhaps you’ll get another emotions travelling to the surf-shelter but they surely will be positive and inexpressible. Thisplace is undoubtedly worth visiting.

К моему удовольствию, я увидела в этом месте частичку США, совсем иной страны, что оказалась так близко и все же неимоверно далеко, в гигантских пальмах, деревянных бунгало и своеобразных хиппи. Я наткнулась на место, где я чувствую себя наиболее спокойно и расслаблено, место, где нет каждодневных рутинных проблем, место, о котором я мечтала, которое искала. Я получила огромное удовольствие от пребывания в серф-приюте и нашла то, что хотела обрести. Возможно, путешествуя к серф-приюту, Вы испытаете абсолютно другие эмоции, однако, без сомнений, они будут позитивными и непередаваемыми. Это место стоит посетить.
