I just recently returned from a nearly week long road-trip from beautiful yet hot New Mexico. Many people consider New Mexico to be desolate and nothing much exiting to see or view but this couldn't be further from the truth. New Mexico is an absolutely spectacular place to visit and explore.
The Rio Grande is marvelous and an amazing wonder of the world. You have the Sandia Mountains and who can possibly forget Aliens in Roswell. New Mexico has a vibrant art community located in Santa Fe. The art is infused with many different cultures such as Mexican; Indian; Aztec; etc.
New Mexico might also be the only place in the United States at least where you'll find dunes of white sand.
Yea, actual white sand!
I spent a bunch of time traversing the state in my rental car going from location to location and one of the things I most enjoyed was the scenery and the fact that New Mexico, or as the state is referred to, 'The Land of Enchantment' has no tolls that you pay on any of its freeways or highways which was a pleasant and awesome surprise for me to learn.
Whether you're an outdoorsy person; nature person; art person; hiking person; food person; culture person; or tourist type of person; New Mexico has something to offer you.
In my next few post I'll detail more specifically the towns and cities I visited whist traveling New Mexico. I'll explain why I chose those cities and towns and post pictures and videos of myself exploring those areas.
