Yulin Dog Meat Festival
Festival!? More like annual dog holocaust! 10, 000 - 15, 000 dogs destroyed and consumed, each year, in one location over the period of one week. Now, this is not about the consumption of this type of protein, I personally do not have a problem with that aspect - I mean I do, because ideally we should not eat anything with eyes, but until we stop doing so completely, we can not tell those so inclined that they can not eat this particular animal .. rabbits and deer, why not dogs, right!? puke
This is about the treatment and the inhumane way these doomed creatures are transported and stored, and the absolutely evil way that they are killed. This is purposeful cruelty .. the festival is actually a celebration of cruelty towards these poor animals. I will not post the most horrible of images that are easily found online, but one really struck me .. it shook me .. this highly intelligent species of dog is being cooked alive with a blowtorch.

While I know that different cultures view animals differently than we here in America, I can that our pompass and arrogant human attitude all over the globe toward animals is appalling. Did you see the one where a completely terrified monkey, trapped in a restaurant serving table, gets it head bashed in just so people could taste monkey brains. Humans can be downright sick.
