How's Going? π
Super smoggy outside and super gloomy due to it. It doesn't look good at all. This morning my husband shared me a rather bad news. He was checking BC Wildifres Map and saw there is one just outside our town, 20 mins away π«€ Super worrying π Told him we have to remember fill up our cars today. Here is hoping that fire will be controlled and we won't hear any evacuation alert and especially not evacuation order. My gosh every Summer is awful worrying. I'd die young here. Too long Winter, less vit D, and anxiety through the roof throughout Summer π¬
A couple of months back my husband and I discussed that we would part ways with our food truck. I lost interest in cake decorating world, means that food truck in the backyard is just taking up space. So we said, hey let's put up the truck at the auction site. Meh. We learned a seller cannot set a minimum price at all. So let's say the food truck is valued at 10K, the seller can't expect it would sold for at least that much. They will start at super low price and if the highest people bid is at 500, that's what it's gonna be sold. Like huh? Who in their right mind would do that? Then the auction place would cut some percentage as well. It's like the worst type of gambling π€£
Ah well. Maybe we will just put it up online. We thought instead waiting for possible buyer(s) to come and check, giving out our house addy to strangers, by placing the actual truck at the auction site, people could just check it there, but yep, we aren't giving it a way for free π
Today I am not sharing a recipe. I have this vlog that I always wanted to share, but kept postponing ad I have recipes vlogs that I also wanted to share (first) π
This is when we visited a lampion (Chinese Lantern) park while vacationing in Indonesia π We didn't know this place existed. We drove by and said, whoa! Colorful lampions. So we turned around and stopped to check it out. Glad we did.
The park is pretty big and it is located right next to Mahakam River. One of the bigger rivers in Indonesia, located in Samarinda City of East Kalimantan (Borneo).
At this lampion park, there isn't really a theme. The lamp lights are various from famous international landmarks to super heroes, flora and fauna, even dinosaurs, Halloween lampion, and stuffed bear (or maybe a little bit of stretch, but it could have been a Hello Kitty, I think π).
At this park, there are food vendors, games area, bike, motorized bikes, as well kids motorized cars rentals, photo booths, and whatnot. Fun indeed not just for family with kids, but couples, or singles.
The views of the river is nice to have as well. Occasionally there are boats and ships passing by. There are seatings available, not just benches and/or chairs, but also swing chairs. So relaxing and can be a romantic spot to visitors π
Parking spots is almost non existence, though. We parked along the road, busy road I must say. So with kids, we really should pay attention. Well, I should have said, there was parking spot, but filled up fast, tons of visitors that's why, so we and also many more cars could only parked along the side of the road. Just a heads up, should you be in the city and would like to visit the park π
