Bedouin Experience & Camel Riding | Kfar Hanokdim - Israel

Good morning friends โ˜€๏ธ
Happy hump day!! ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿซ

In honor of hump day I figured I would share my camel riding and Bedouin experience in Israel.

Kfar Hanokdim lies in the Kana`im valley which is in the Judean desert, between the city of Arad and Masada. This desert oasis is home to the Bedouin people, an Arabic-speaking nomadic people in the Middle Eastern desert. Surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the Judean desert, Kfar Hanokdim provides its guests with relaxed southern hospitality. On-site you can do things like: go on a camel trek or cycling trip, hike one of the many trails surrounding the Kfar, attend one of the diverse workshops, or just hang out in a hammock in a quiet corner until the twinkling stars cover the night sky.

When our group arrived at the village, we were invited into the Bedouin tent to relax around the fire and sip hot spicy tea and coffee, which was soo necessary because it was freezing outside. While the traditional coffee making ceremony was performed, they passed around fire baked pita which was incredible! We were then given a brief history of the Bedouin people and told what our schedule would be for the next 24 hours. We were given a short tour of the massive campgrounds and then went to the dinner tent. We sat on low benches at a low table and enjoyed our authentic Bedouin style meal with our hands ๐Ÿ™ˆ. After dinner we all sat around a giant bonfire, singing songs and jaming out while drinking beer/whiskey. The following morning we woke up to a breakfast buffet like no other. They had hard boiled eggs, pancakes, french toast, waffles, an omelet station, yogurt, fruit, vegetables, and fresh hot pastries. After our bellies were full it was finally time for our camel ride!! Happy we got to go too because it was raining and they were hesitant to let us go. It was such a cool experience!

Dining Sheik Style ๐Ÿ˜Ž Probably some of the best food I have ever eaten. It included homemade pita, roasted vegetables, 2 different kinds of meat, and lots of rice.

The Bedouin tent that we slept in (we were about 45 people). The tents are decorated in an authentic style and fully equipped with rugs and mattresses.

Hope you enjoyed my post and photos!! Please leave feedback, negative/positive :)
Wishing you all a beautiful day โœจ๐Ÿ’›
