안녕하세요. @traveleryong 입니다. 오늘은 도쿄에서 잘 알려지지 않은 도시, 카구라자카입니다. 시작하기전에, 카구라자카에 대한 역사에 대해서 설명하고 자 합니다.

The main road of Kagurazaka was once at the outer edge of Edo Castle, opposite the Ushigome bridge over the castle moat, and has always been busy because of this privileged location.

카구라자카의 메인 도로는 에도 성의 메인 도로였습니다. 여기는 에도 시대 때 항상 붐볐는데 우시고메라는 다리 넘어에 성이 있었는데, 그 메인도로이기 때문입니다.

In the early 20th century, the area was renowned for its numerous geisha houses, of which several remain today.

20세기 초에 이 곳은 게이샤들의 구역으로 만들어졌고, 현재까지 남아 있습니다.

Currently, Kagurazaka is experiencing a poupularity boom due to its traditional atmosphere on the edge of modern Shinjuku ward. Kaguraza is also widely regarded as an important center of Japanese cuisine within the Kanto region.

현재는, 카구라자카에 사람이 계속해서 많아지는 이유는 일본의 전통적인 모습을 느낄 수 있기 때문입니다. 그리고 간토의 음식을 잘 보존하고 있는 곳이라고 알려져 있기 떄문입니다.

Several old and famous ryotei are to be found in the winding back streets, often accessible only by foot. These provide expensive kaiseki cuisine, generally regarded as the pinnacle of Japanese food.

많은 올드패션과 유명한 ryotei가 뒤쪽 길에 많이 배치되어있고, 걸어서만 들어갈 수 있습니다. 많은 kaiseki 음식들과 관광객에게는 잘 알려지지 않는 일본음식들이 즐비를 하고 있습니다.

First, take Toei oedo line(E) and get off at the Ushigome-Kagurazaka(E05).

일단, Toei oedo 라인(E번)을 타고 Ushigome-Kagurazaka(E05)에서 하차 합니다.

This is Ushigome-Kagurazaka(E05) station.

이 곳이 Ushigome-Kagurazaka(E05) 역 입니다.

After you get out of the station, You should walk around. You can see a different life from general Tokyo life, which is incredibly busy and crowded.

역에서 나오면 주위를 둘러 보시는 것을 추천합니다. 일반 바쁘고 붐비는 도쿄 라이프와는 다르게 이 곳도 도쿄라고 생각이 안들정도로 조용합니다.

When you enter the main road here, you can see various kinds of shops and Japanese tradition lantern along the street.

이 곳 메인로드를 들어서게 되면, 길 따라 일본의 전통적 전등과 다양한 상점들을 만날 수 있습니다.

Every corner of the street can sense various Kagurazaka, which is where the present and the past coexist.

골목마다 카구라자카의 특유함을 느낄 수 있으며, 과거와 현재가 공존해 있는 느낌을 받을 수 있습니다.

Thanks for the tour! All the pictures and descriptions helped make me feel like I got to experience the place. I loved visiting Tokyo several years ago and this post makes me what to go back. Thanks.

I haven't been there before! Seems like I have to go next time! I don't have much motivation to go out every time when I have long stay flight to Japan. Maybe this motivates me do so :) Cheers !
