I wanted to be a cosmonaut, probably just like many other boys living in the Soviet Union. I remember most of these museum things from my childhood, except the stuffed dogs. Also didn't know the Conquerors of Space monument is made of titanium.
If you'd like to get deeper into the USSR space theme, read brothers Strugatsky if you didn't yet, they authored some very thoughtful and impressive sci-fi novels showing the spirit and expectations of the time.
