Everything around is great, there are shops, cafes, museums and each building is a postcard. E palace of the Town Hall with its astronomical clock, recently repaired. Super Nice! Really so nice! But it was very packed with people and I would stay away from the restaurants in the square as they are very overpriced. I have been going to Prague for years and it is beautiful. But sadly it has become overrun with touts and tour pushers all over the place. I think the tourist board need to do something about this as they are ruining the experience.
However, the old town and buildings are still the same and beautiful. Just expect to get royally ripped off anywhere near the square.
