🌉America - Weekly Round-Up #22

in #travelfeed6 years ago

Welcome to today's weekly Travelfeed America roundup brought to you by @for91days.

The Americas are blessed with incredible, wild nature, and today we're going to showcase three amazing spots you might not yet know about. We're starting out with the Muir Woods National Monument, just 30 minutes outside of San Francisco, then we'll be going on a climbing adventure in Argentina. And to finish off with a splash, we're sharing an article about one of the Yucatán Peninsula's many beautiful cenotes (sinkholes filled with water).

Three BEST posts for America

A quick recap - the post rewards of this curation post will be distributed as follows:

  • Half of the SBD post rewards will be paid out to the winning entries (please, expect a seven-day wait);
  • The rest of the earnings will be used to power up the @travelfeed account.

Muir Woods, California
written by @spc

Although America's history of land preservation isn't wholly positive, John Muir Woods is extremely accessible given its proximity to San Francisco and low entry fee (though one should be aware that parking reservations need to be made in advance.

Climbing Aconcagua, Argentina, Preparing for the Summit Attempt
written by @ultrabiker

The sudden wind disappeared as quickly as it came and we all came down safely. Our guide was reacting a little panicky when the wind was suddenly blowing, but we didn’t think much of it that time.

The Grand Cenote - Tulum, Mexico
written by @jessicaoutside

It's one of thousands of cenotes that can be found all throughout the Yucatán Peninsula. This one is particularly special as it has a large open top, but deep cavernous areas to explore as well. From snorkellers, to scuba divers, to swimmers, to sideline admirers, there's something for everyone here.
