Welcome to travel India, I'll share my experience of home-stays near Darjeeling. Don't forget the Darjeeling tea in misty weather .
We started from Bagdogra airport at around 11 AM (this airport is connected from Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai etc) in a trekker and reached Lepchajagat around 3 PM. It usually takes around 4 hours from Bagdogra but we were late due to rains. But believe me rains makes hill station more exiting.

We checked into the forest bungalow which was pre-booked. The ambiance was awesome once we sat in the lawn of the bungalow, mist all around, chilly weather, at times we felt we might see leopards coming out of the woods. We were told by the caretaker that the forest has leopards, and at times bears as well. As the sky turned dark around 5 PM we were served with tea but our eyes were searching for animals in the forest. Maybe it was illusion but may be I indeed saw something standing in the dark.

Oh my God, This is so beautiful! One of my friends went to India last year and he told us a lot of things about it, he was shocked about the experience but mostly in a good way and i thought a lot of times about visiting India since then:)
Your photos are beautiful and i really want to hear more about your experience in India, good parts and bad parts:)
I wanna know about the food, about the natural treatments ( natural treatments made in India are really appreciated in Europe), where should I go and what can make my experience better :)

Great to know about your interest in India and your liking for naturotherapy . You can visit Haridwar , a small place in north India. Believe me you will be amazed to see the factory making ayurvedic medicines under the brand Patanjali. Its like a package you can stay here tell your problems to the naturopathy doctors & get treated. But the natural air & ambience will make you feel way better even without medicines :)
