I hope you enjoy the Christmas holidays. Usually it should be very cold and snowing at this time of the year. Unfortunately it is very warm and snow is just a dream for next year. Because it was attractive due to the weather, we went for a walk. After the food excesses of the last days, this walk was quite pleasant.

ich hoffe ihr genießt die Weihnachtstage. Normalerweise sollte es um diese Jahreszeit sehr kalt sein und schneien. Leider es ist sehr warm und Schnee bleibt nur Traum fürs nächste Jahr. Weil es Wetter bedingt anlockend war, sind wir spazieren gegangen. Nach den Essen Exzesse der letzten Tage war dieses Spaziergang recht angenehm.

My parents live centrally in my hometown, next to the river that crosses it.
Even when I was little, I always enjoyed walking along the banks of the river. You can get everywhere quickly and you have the nature close.

Meine Eltern leben zentral in meiner Heimatstadt, neben dem Fluss der diese überquert.
Auch als ich klein war, habe ich es immer genossen entlang des Ufers zu spazieren. Man kommt schnell überall hin und man hat die Natur nahe.

The sunshine gave us an early September feeling. Most leaves have already fallen off, but there was still green around the tree and the grass was not dry. It was almost like 5 years ago in Southern Germany where it was around 20 degrees at Christmas.
Die Sonnenstrahlen gaben uns ein früh September Gefühl. Die meisten Blätter sind schon abgefallen, aber es gab noch grünes um den Baum und das Gras war nicht trocken. Es war fast wie vor 5 Jahren in Süd Deutschland wo es am Weihnachten um die 20 Grad waren.
From the shore we went to the central park where this magnificent tree was waiting for us. The tree was always big for me, as it was 25 years ago. It is always nice to walk through familiar places even if you have not visit them in the past 10 years.
For me almost nothing did change. The benches and steps have been renewed, but everything else was the same. The trees I knew were there, the houses were almost the same color even though they have been renovated in the meantime.

Vom Ufer sind wir in den Zentral Park gegangen wo dieser prächtige Baum uns erwartet hatte. Der Baum war für mich immer groß, wie jetzt auch vor 25 Jahren. Es ist schön durch familiäre Plätze zu spazieren auch wenn man diese nicht in den letzten 10 Jahre gesehen hat.
Für mich hat sich fast nicht geändert. Man hat die Bänke und Stufen erneuert, aber alles andere war gleich. Die Bäume die ich kannte waren dort, die Häuser hatten fast die selbe Farbe auch wenn diese in der Zwischenzeit saniert worden sind.

The Christmas market was still open today. It stays open until the 7th of January. What is different from the markets in Germany is the local merchandise.
Der Christkindl Markt war heute noch offen. Es bleibt noch bis am 7 Januar auf. Was unterschiedlich von den Märkten in Deutschland ist, ist die einheimische Ware.
Although I admit that it makes me a little sad to hear about the weather, climate change is a real thing that's affecting every aspect of life, I guess there's always a positive side to all things. Even though it didn't snow you got to walk through a beautiful place and enjoy all those memories from younger days, on what it seemed to be a nice a day.

It's always great when you come back to where you've grown up and the parents are still there! I feel the same, although it happens in the same country.
Hello. I too love the trees and nature. I love the walks along the canal where I live. i recently posted a christmas walk I did with a tree in it also. again very nice post.
I like the last picture of trees. It is a Platan that leaves your time longer, is resistant to pollution and drought.

Es ist schon von einem anderen Land. In Februar werden es 5 Jahre sein seitdem ich in Deutschland lebe ;)
