It doesn't matter if you are five or fifty, climbing trees is fun! Forever a kid at heart, my husband @joechiappetta was excited to get to know this tree from a higher perspective. Some trees are just made for climbing, like this beauty in Southern California.
I am consistently amazed and enamored with the vegetation in this part of the U.S. Last night, for the first time in a while, it rained a little. I'm not sure how these trees and flowers do it, but they manage to thrive without a lot of rain. I am grateful for the beauty nature provides.

I was a tree climber as a kid but all we had was a thorn tree. I climbed it anyways and finally got real good at not stepping on them.
Did I mention I was usually a barefooted kid because I hated shoes and only wore them when I had to? lol

Judging by the wide root system of the tree it must be pretty ancient? I wonder how many people may have climbed up it over the years?
