Wayminute! ............ earlier tonight I learned Jay Morrison FINALLY paid out the first dividends, to his investors of the Tulsa Real Estate Fund (TREF). Wanted to go read more about it - especially since Tamika Mallory gave him big props. LIKE ... Big props!
What she wrote was super dope - inspiring - she is a great speaker, and puts thoughts together so well. I was surprised to learn she also, had invested. Because hey, I'll be honest, I had come to doubt this was a solid move. I 'almost' got in, but didn't. I did watch and kept in contact with a lot of black people who DID - and I gotta say, I was pleased to be wrong, earlier tonight.
But, as I dug into it - I find - TREF is paying $1.76/share - which is Nada ... smh - I am Disappointed ... even more so.
You see, "What happened to Common Sense" .. been on Jay Ass, this entire time.
Much of what he has broken down, throughout the past 2 years, has had me hoping He was wrong. However, much of what he was saying made sense. Without giving out all my business, I've invested in REIT's - and my dividends have been on point. I still have access to my principle. Much of how this TREF was set up, differed from what I was used to. It was one of the big factors in why I passed on the opportunity to get involved, financially.
But, again, ran into a lot of people who were pulling for this investment. In fact, some went so hard as to insult black people who were NOT fully, openly, supporting this effort. As if, the success or failure of this venture, was hinging on our vocal support.
It's, very unfortunate. A Grand total of $17.60 .... after 2 years.
There are also others, with deep roots in the real estate investment world, who also have sounded the alarm on Jay Morrison. Sad that a lot of what's happening, just may continue. Here is Tony the Closer (the real estate investor I'm referring to mainly...) and, the guy who broke the original story, about how this may not be a wise investment - Antonio Moore (aka Tone Talks)
Also, shout outs to Eli, for pointing out, the real, white supremacist agendas - and also, the black people who take advantage of black people. That too, is a white supremacist agenda, as Judas and The Black Messiah puts directly on the table. (read my review here)
