A. Motive Waves (5-Wave-Structure) – A.1 Impulse

in #trend6 years ago

The last blog post concerns a general view on motive waves.
We recognized also the basic five-wave idealized pattern and does mentioned that there are two types of motive waves:

  1. Impulse
  2. Diagonal

In this post I am going to explain in short the type of an impulse of a motive wave.
The picture below shows us the motive and corrective part of a whole sequence of period.
The motive wave show clearly an impulse behaviour, which could dechiffre by some important rules.

Rules for interpreting impulses properly :

1.) An impulse always subdivides into five waves
2.) Wave 1 always subdivides into an impulse or rarely a diagonal
3.) Wave 3 always subdivides into an impulse
4.) Wave 5 always subdivides into an impulse or a diagonal
5.) Wave 2 always subdivides into a zigzag, flat or combination
6.) Wave 4 always subdivides into a zigzag, flat, triangle or combination
7.) Wave 2 never moves beyond the start of wave 1
8.) Wave 3 always moves beyond the end of wave 1
9.) Wave 3 is never shortest wave
10.) Wave 4 never moves beyond the end of wave 1
11.) Never are waves 1, 3 and 5 all extended

A rule should never be disregarded. So if we are already talking about rules we have to remind that Ralph Nelson Elliott noted three consistent aspects of the five wave form:

1.) Wave 2 never moves beyond the start of wave 1;
2.) Wave 3 is never the shortest wave;
3.) Wave 4 never retraces back tot he top of wave 1.

The most impulse contains two noticeable aspects which are called ,, Extension‘‘ and ,, Truncation‘‘.

In an impulse wave itself are three actionary subwaves (1, 3, 5) and they are also motive waves (think in fractal and sublevels). Subwave 3 is always an impulse. Take a look at the picture below.

The first figure shows the motive and corrective waves.
This figure depicts impulses in the 1, 3, 5, A and C wave positions.

In general impulses should be consider in a.) upward impuls actions OR b.) downward impulse actions
One should know different guidelines concerning the impulse formations:

Extension, truncation, equality, channeling, personality and ratio relationships.
