I think it's a nice thing to have, but there are always risks when doing so. I think that buying the asset directly is probably a better option, as I feel it is more safe. Then again, there are plenty of people who don't want to deal with the real thing.

I think RWA make a lot of sense for example when you want to invest in treasury bonds but don't want to do kyc or invest big amounts. You could simply buy a stable coin that is backed by treasury bonds and profit from it's return.
