How long does it take you to create a post .jpg

Most of us create content on a regular basis on hive but we probably all wonder how much others invest in this process. Let's exchange :-)

How long does it take you to create a hive post? What tools do you use? How do you proceed?

For a while my publications have been based on photographs. They require a large investment of time that I make because I enjoy doing them, but it is difficult to calculate the real amount of time and its monetary value.

First I go out to explore places, exhibitions or interesting events that I then want to share. Sometimes they arise from my activities and I don't "have to" go out to look for them. I take the photos with my mobile phone, an iPhone.

Then I select and organise the photographs. I edit them very little, only the basics. I do this on the computer, a Mac, with the programs that come by default.

Then I write my story while I add the photos. Sometimes I also research related data and add the links of the references...

To publish I use PeakD, where I have some templates for the header and footer of the posts. As an English translator I use DeepL.

Ah, finally after posting I respond to the comments I receive. I like that dialogue with readers that also consumes a lot of time. I like to be proportionate and grateful for what I receive.

First and foremost - the idea.
It comes to me in the blink of an eye or in a few days 😄
Since I mostly publish posts with pictures, it's easy for me when I had a trip or an opportunity to photograph an interesting location, something in nature, so I have material in the album. then I just need to come up with what I want to write about and get to work.
I edit photos in the Samsung gallery, I rarely use Canva and Snapseed apps for image processing, and I make video clips in Youcut. I don't use any advanced AI tools...

I use google translate for translation and post on my mobile phone, through Ecency or Peakd app depending on how much time I have to pack photos.

I don't have a post Template...

So, in total, it takes a lot of time...
One post with more photos and 500-600 words will probably take me an hour to an hour and a half.
If I'm researching some historical facts about the places I'm writing about, about personalities or works of art, maybe up to two hours...
But when you're doing something you love, and it's your hobby, that's not a lot of time.
Better 2 hours creating than 2 hours watching TV 🙂

My daily actifit posts are mostly to the point and not that hard to create.
But other posts takes a bit of time.
I will first gather all the data before i start doing my posts.

For example, before giveaway posts became a sin, for every risingstar giveaway i use to spend more time knowing about the artist, its songs etc and then create my posts.

Sometimes, the post idea is spontaneous. so i first write about it in my notepad and then copy everthing to peakd / inleo / ecency and then polish it.
Sometimes, the content written never leaves the notepad.

But i will also say that, sometimes its just a post. 🤣

My posts are photo based, and since photography is a hobby enjoyed in my whole family I have a Google album continously filled with new photos taken specifically for me to post on Hive. I don't use a template, but download photos from the family album directly onto my mobile and then create my posts using Ecency app. Doing historical research that I want to include in my post often takes the most time. If it's a subject I am particularly interested in I can get a bit lost reading all the information available and then determining what info to include in my post that others might find interesting, too. Posts often take several hours to create.

depends on the photography that i post along with it and if the image servers can keep up . The bigger the post with photos , the longer it takes .

After all if you make + 150 photos you need to select the right photos first , i consider that part also as time being used for posting , after all you start to select what you are going to post , then you need to develop your images sometimes a little crop or straighten the image , sometimes convert it to black and white .

Most of the time it takes a couple of hours , and looking at the posting rewards i wouldn't call it work in anyway . 🤣

Sometimes, even when I have an idea, it still feels like I have nothing to write about. That changes once I'm actually sitting at the keyboard and am in the flow. My posts usually take at least 1 hour to create but usually just a little more. The only tools I use are my phone and usb cable to transfer pictures and videos to my computer, where I prefer to write.

Depends on the topic. For one which I am familiar with and writing about regularly, I'd have already preplanned it for a week in advance and usually just take 5-10 minutes per day. Tools used, peakd, even for the image generation!

While my posts are mostly ramblings and daily hapenings irl, shadows, reflections, tunes, travel, etc I spend over an hour to create and publish them. Sometimes, shorter, at other times, may take longer, depending on my state of mind, or if I'm multi-tasking 😊

Travel posts or others with several pictures usually take a lot more since I need to edit photos and upload them.

I mostly use peakd and ecency on desktop, or my phone when away from home.

It depends on the type of post. For everyday photo posts (on Liketu), it takes me about 15 to 30 minutes, but if the post is about Splinterlands, it takes me about an hour or more, since I need to edit the photos and create images in Canva

It really depends of many variables. It depends of what the post is about also. Sometimes I do some research about a certain topic to get different sources. For example, the post from yesterday a review about a tv show it takes less than reading some articles before writing, like the one from Monday about bananas in smoothies hehe
I don't take the time, but I would bet that at least 30 min is needed for the shortest post.

Depends on the subject, sometimes ten minutes, others needing a lot of screenshots and editing of pictures can be over an hour. I wish they all could be just then minutes though! lol
