What would you like to have explained about Liotes.jpg

We have been running the Liotes project for a long time and not everybody has been around since the beginning. We have built quite a complex project and we wonder what people don't understand or would like to understand better. That's why we want to ask you the following question today:

What would you like to have explained about Liotes? What is not clear? What would you like to understand better?

Please leave your answer as a comment below this post. Also don't forget that Liotes is running a Hive witness and you can vote for it here

The Liotes Mission

By taking part in the Liotes missions, you can win credits that will help you to increase your score and your title in the Liotes Ranking.

People who submit an answer will get 3 credits for the Liotes ranking. If you submit more than 1 answer, you will not get more credits.

We are very grateful if you enter the challenge within 24 hours after the post is published. We will try to count entries up to 36 hours after publication.

How do you come up with good questions every week?

Maybe a comparison of outcomes/benefits between delegating $HP and participation in diesel pool? Not that everybody would then run to one or the other option !LOLZ

Thank you!

count as resistance training?

That’s a great question and similar to one that I had

How do you come up with good questions every week?

To be honest, it's not always easy lol

Maybe a comparison of outcomes/benefits between delegating $HP and participation in diesel pool?

That's an interesting question and I think it would be a good idea to calculate this.

I want to know more about your end game. What's the final destination, the final goal?

Our initial game was to build up something where everybody was earning from it. It works actually quite well but due to low hive prices, the project didn't scale as much as we hoped. However, we are still working on that every day :-). Liotes should become an economical machine that allows all the stakeholders to earn with it.

Maybe I sound dumb, I watched the video about LEN token but still some questions about it. Ok Len miner gives len tokens, len are the center of the liotes verse. But what is the utility of LEN? Just a token that you can swap for hive if you want? is there a future utility like power/governance inside the community?

If you want the len token is the currency of our project. It is generated by the LENM. We need it to pay daily dividends, distribute for the monthly ranking rewards, the yearly power up challenge. This means that we constantly purchase LEN tokens from the market.

Then LEN has it's use case because you can stake it together with LENM in the liquidity pool and earn rewards from it.

At the beginning of the project, we even had a shop where people could purchase and rent SL cards and NFT's from other games. This was before SL had it's own rental market. Once this was out, our market didn't make much sense anymore and we stopped it.

I’ve read the whitepaper, so I doubt I missed anything. But still — where did Liotes come from, and why that name specifically?

The idea grew during Covid and we discussed it for a long time with @ph1102 before starting it. We wanted to create something together and then this idea came along and we decided to give it a go.

The term Liotes comes from a greek good of the south-westwind called Apeliotes. It was a great fit since our concept with LENM was that they produced energy from wind on the planet Liotes :-)

Do you have plans to seek profitability outside of Hive?

Yes we do. We already have some assets outside of hive but we are working on making it more efficient before we spread the news.

Sharing a chart showing how all the parts of Liotes flow into each other. I think you shared one prior, but I can't locate it.

I think it would be good to do it again, just for us to keep track of everything lol.

What happens should both of you guys decide to retire? Is there some self continuation automated plan?

That's a great question and what that I think we would need to take up in a separate post.

Hmm, interesting mission for the week. I have no questions for now, but I hope to read from the others and your answers to them :)

Don't hesitate to ask if something comes up :-)

What is the end game and what happens if we reach there. :)

The endgame is to build an economical system that allows everybody involved to earn from it. We hope that over time it gets better and better and that people earn more and more :-)

I would like to know the objective you had in mind when you created the project, what was the reason that moved you to create it.

In view of the latest events that happened in other projects dependent on a single person, it is quite reassuring to know that there is more than one head in Liotes. But if anything happened (which we don't want!!) Is there a security plan planned for the continuity of the project?

I take this opportunity to thank you once again for everything you do. ❤️🤗

I would like to know the objective you had in mind when you created the project, what was the reason that moved you to create it.

With @ph1102 we wanted to build something together and we discussed many different ideas before we developed Liotes. We found it to be the most promising idea and decided to give it a go. To look at the project today, I think that we were right to do so :-)

But if anything happened (which we don't want!!) Is there a security plan planned for the continuity of the project?

That's an important question and we will make a separate post about it.

Hmm nothing much.. But part of me am curious about how the burn amounts, be it zero or 500 or 600, are determined each week.. Is there a formula or price target?

There is a formula about it and a lot of things come into it. It's a bit difficult to explain but in a nutshell we have some income sources dedicated to the burn, we have a natural burn system and then we have also expenses that come into the calculation. Putting all this together will define the burn rate of the week.

Our first priority is to insure stability and sustainability, meaning we need to cover our external costs like sever expenses. The second priority is to make sure that our accounts always have at least a neutral balance. Meaning we don't want to burn at the expense of something else. Finally, we want to burn as many tokens as possible to limit the supply of LEN.

Where did the inspiration for Liotes come from? Like the logo being a weather vane and having a planet that looks like Mars in the images you post, where did all that come from?

This was the result of many hours of chatting online with @ph1102. We were discussing these ideas a lot before we got started. We decided on the project, the concept, the whitepaper and once these things were set, we went on to talk about tokenomics, then things like images, logos, website, etc... We spent many many hours on it :-)

I would have to say, what was the initial goal of Liotes, and was it something that would focus on Hive, or did it start moving to the Hive Engine related assets.

To be honest, our first focus was hive-engine. There were many promising projects and tribes that we invested in. We changed our focus over time to be more on hive.

Everything has a why?
What is the why of Liotes?

With @ph1102, we wanted to build a project together and we discussed many ideas. With the Liotes project, things clicked and we decided to start it :-)

Hello, I would like to know about Liotes, what its function is, and how I can support its project.

Posted using CTPtalk

We have made a video about this some time back: https://peakd.com/hive-150329/@liotes/lwolfsoq

Are you satisfied with the growth of the Liotes project? What are your expectations given all the negative news in the crypto market and on Hive, with projects such as BRO and Liketu (among others) dying?

On one hand, the project evolves almost exactly how we planned it initially. Unfortunately the impact of this evolution is slightly reduced by the lower prices of tokens.

The energy on hive isn't that great, especially on hive-engine at the moment and we are working on expanding Liotes also outside of hive (youtube, other chains). But these steps are not totally clear yet and we need to refine what we are planning...
