Here is another possibility: In exchange for a little bit of leeway on some of the policies Trump supports he, the Pres, agrees to pump billions more into military spending. Of course this just keeps the balloon floating a bit longer before it's magnificent explosion. And perhaps it will keep the public fooled long enough for more wins in the upcoming elections.
