RE: Truth is dead

And it still is an infringement against oneself in many ways.

It is. But now people tend to cover it up in their minds with a blanket of gratification coming from the lies. So in a sense that violation is pushed below.
Like a leper wearing a beautiful mask, hiding the rot below.

It's easy to swamp skeptics in a tsunami of bullshit.

Nonsense is easily spoken, to debunk it takes 100x more effort. Spew enough bullshit and yes, you can easily overwhelm the critical thinkers.
Thus my colorful end to the post.
It took me 20 seconds to write that absurd nonsense. if presented in a less absurd way, It would take anyone far more effort to debunk it.

Getting a society to give up on the virtue of truth (along with beauty and goodness) goes a long way towards destroying it.

It is the foundation of all extremist regimes. If you can be convinced that, for example, WEF wants to destroy the world and enslave you, you become morally justified to destroy them. To imprison them. To kill them.
If Hillary drinks blood of children you are morally required to destroy her. If youre driven to believe all those things then rounding them all up El Salvador style and throwing away the key is a just thing to do.
That is where lies so easily spewed lead you to.

It has happened already many times. To the Jews, to the Kulaks, to Slavs, to the Tutsi...
All stemming from lies people eagerly believed.
