How do you define a time? Music. It’s the power of music that transports you to a time of memories experienced. And if not experienced you still don't have to go to far to see just how unique these experiences are. DJ Noname is an artist who is taking his unique experiences and blending them with fellow producer DJ $ir Mike to transport listeners to what can only be called “Sir Noname.”.

No words can express this tape. There’s no long drawn out explanation of complex hyperbole's. There won't be any mentions about venn diagrams of overlapping rhyme schemes and how they can be traced to the earliest days of hip hop. Your not gonna find that here. What you will find is a feeling so powerful, so immersive, so intoxicating, that it's reminiscent of a different time. That feeling that the older folks played at the cookouts. It's the same feeling you always you never quite remember but is always on the tip of your tongue. But in this exact moment that this tape expresses everything.

One. An expansive floor reverberates from the pounding speakers and the tapping of feet guided by their swaying bodies. The men's tailored suits are so exact that the lines move with each grind. The women's dresses contouring to their bodies accentuate their grace. Glass tables glossed from the white residue set as holders from empty glasses. Lights dance around the room radiating the luxurious feel of the night. This is what track one feels like. It’s the guitar pick that teases the strings. It’s the elongated moan of the electric guitar. The horn is the reassurance that everything is OK. This feeling only lasts 5 mins and 37 seconds, but it's a feeling you wish lasted so much longer. What a way to start an a project.

Two. The water crashes against the nearby pier. The cool ocean breeze feels your lungs. Beautiful tanned bodies lay glistening in the sun's light. Time slows as a beautiful woman jogs along the beach, her body moving to the up and down motion of the Maracas. The waling guitar guides the speedboats along the coastline. The bongos bop as emptied drinks tap against the bar's wood. Track 2 is that Miami Vice beach feel that you just had to be there to really know what it feels like.

This is one of the most transformative projects. The feelings, the emotions, they can only be experienced. DJ Noname and DJ $ir Mike created something special. Something that can live on. Something that every cookout can jam.
