Switching from Photoshop to Clip Studio Paint

in #tutorial8 years ago

I've been slowly transition over to Clip Studio for my comic work and I really love the software. Plus it's very economical compared to spending $50 a month for an Adobe license. I think I paid about $25 when it was on sale a few months back. Plus the drawing is amazing in this program. Anyway, here is a video I made when a friend was trying to show me how to make the transition from Photoshop. Enjoy.

Music at the end is by me too. I'm still trying to learn how to record and play but it sure is fun. :)

Wow that's really cool and great tutorial BTW. I tried using clip studio but got scared because of the tools... I come from using MS Paint hahaha... So all the fancy tools are kinda intimidating atm

Great tips. It’s fun to hear & see artist’s joy when playing with new toys. I’ll have to check out those brush packs, I also highly recommend brushes by Frenden, (Frenden.com) Unfortunately the brush import mechanism on the iPad is terrible so far, I still have traumatic flashbacks of importing each of those brushes one at a time! 🤯

All I've ever known is Clip Studio (still Manga Studio to me). I've dabbled in Photoshop. I feel like they are similar enough to where it's almost the same language. To me Photoshop is much more complicated compared to Clip Studio, but a lot of it is basically the same.

Just when I needed it, thanks Jason.
