This post is definitely a useful resource even all this time later. I'm guessing the Hive Blog will make use of the Steemit version of Markdown.
When it comes to images, I end up using HTML because I need to specify width and height. Would you know how to add size attributes to a Markdown-encoded image? Or is there a way to embed width and height values inside the URL of the image?
