Need something to watch with the lack of content due to the SAG strike?

With the SAG and WGA strikes we have seen a lot of movies and TV shows get their release dates pushed, with this in mind I felt like some folks might need TV shows to binge. Here are 5 of my favorites and where to find them.

TV
1.) Warrior-HBO Max/Cinemax 3 season so far, It follows a skilled Chinese immigrant named Ah Sahm as he gets caught up in Tong Wars in the early 19th century San Fransisco. The fight/action is top tier and the story is based on the writings of Bruce Lee. Its Deadwood meets Into the Badlands

2.) Last Kingdom-Netflix 5 seasons and 1 movie, It follows Uhtred a Saxon raised by Vikings. If you watched Vikings(2013) you will most likely enjoy Last Kingdom. While Uhtred didn't actually exist many of the other characters did, people like King Alfred.

3.) Black Sails-Starz 4 seasons, This is a prequel to Treasure Island focusing on the adventures of Captain Flint. The series features iconic historical pirates like Captain Charles Vane, Anne Bonny, and Calico Jack, whose names are well-documented in pirate lore. These real-life pirates interact with fictional characters like Captain Flint, Long John Silver, and Eleanor Guthrie. The integration of historical figures adds an authentic layer to the show, as many of the portrayed pirates and locations are based on real events and locations from the Golden Age of Piracy. This mix of fact and fiction creates a fascinating dynamic, it also adds depth to the storytelling and makes "Black Sails" a captivating exploration of both the real and the legendary aspects of pirate history.

4.) Justified-Hulu 7 seasons, Justified follows U.S. Deputy Marshal Raylan Givens, a lawman with a no-nonsense approach to enforcing the law. He is reassigned to his hometown in rural Kentucky, where he deals with old grudges, criminal families, and a mix of colorful characters. The series combines crime, drama, and humor as it explores themes of justice, redemption, and the complexities of the modern-day Wild West. Raylan's approach often involves quick-draw shootouts and witty banter with his frienemy Walton Goggins.

5.) Brockmire-AMC+ 4 seasons, TV series about Jim Brockmire, a disgraced baseball announcer who attempts a comeback in the minor leagues. The show blends dark humor and drama while exploring Brockmire's personal and professional challenges, including alcoholism and redemption. Hank Azaria's charismatic performance is a standout in the series and the first 2 mins of the series might be the funniest first 2 mins of any series ever!!

Hope these helped cure some boredom and if you have any other binge worthy shows drop them in the comments.

Ill do 5 movies you might not have heard of but are great watches next <3
