The Plagiarist

Hey man, what are you doing here?
We’ve already seen that somewhere.

Take a look at this original,
seems to be not only digital.

You’ve stolen it without a doubt.
Never listened to your honest heart.

Stop it, because it hurts.

We might give a second chance,
Go and practice, exercise.

It’s just writing, not a pirate's twist.
It's like dancing, you will get it quick.

Devoted to The Writer's Block Discord Server and their professional attitude towards plagiarists.

This is an original work written as a submission to

The Writers' Block Inaugural Poetry Competition.

P.S.

While doing a little research I crossed on a song by Tom Lehrer devoted to plagiarism in maths. Had good fun with the comments below the song. And this is how I learned hat plagiarism is even much more wide spread among mathematicians.

It comes from people who've either never found their worth in life or simply don't understand the promise of Steemit and the blockchain.

Everyone has something to share, and there's someone waiting to hear it somewhere. To plagiarise is to say you've got nothing to say, you've got nothing to share. You're just a mouth waiting to be fed.

An existence so sad is punishment in and of itself.

Well said. And still, I'm a firm believer that everyone should be given a second chance...

There's always time to find what makes you special. It's always a good time to start living. I'm all for second chances as well.

Absolutely! Happy to have you among the circle of people I chit-chat here and there occasionally! Will be looking forward to read your own story for Round 1 in case you find time to participate.

'Go and practice, exercise'
could be polished a wee bit but I like the idea of giving second chances.
Happy to see another poet on steemit and TWB :D

Hey, thank you! Well, I had to submit it to the queue and almost completely rewrite it.

Yeah one of the most important aspects of writing is rewriting :D
I'm glad that you're willing to keep at it - our task is daunting !
