Herrrooo Dreamers,
Another weekend of Dreaming continues to zoom right past us!
RETRO FRIDAYS :
I was joined by the one and only sinister1 for our debut of the Chip 'N Dale : Rescue Rangers Co-op Any% speedruns. Sinister and I had put in considerable time for weeks working on synergy and sound cues we could use to maintain a high level of execution. Then TwitchCon 2018 happened among another bevy of events that one of the most coveted speedrunners was locked down with.
We put together another practice day before finally debuting our Co-op run just a few days ago. The runs went spectacular by night's end. The choreography was enjoyed by so many high class speedrunners who showed up let alone the usual Dreamers that pepper the audience. Our most epic run has qualified for 2nd best currently and can be located here. We aim for sub 10 minutes starting next Retro Friday (and yes we are still stuck on Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts 2nd Loop, second to final level for another week).
STRESSED SATURDAYS:
We resumed our Bloodmoon challenge run and our prospects are not looking good. We advanced 7 more weeks and lost 3 more mercenaries while only coming away with 1 boss kill which was the easiest boss in the game, in my opinion, the Apprentice Necromancer (the same boss we use for our Necromancer% speedruns.) We have only 10 more deaths to work with as a 16th death will end our current challenge and force us to start all over again. Which would be quite the sad panda or let's say sad crusader moment indeed.
SPEEDRUN SUNDAYS:
We will be starting early as there are more charity races that resume tonight as I take on the #1 seed Spiriax in a huge underdog roll tonight. My goal is to lose by less than 4 minutes, have fun and raise awareness for charities like savethechildren.org.
After the conclusion of the race, the interview and a few more practice runs (thankfully as this will be only my first loss potentially in this double-elimination styled tournament) before we proceed to our Mega Events of the evening.
