This week has been INSANE Dreamers! Thank you for Dreamin' so hard every night we pop the lights on to the show.
TURTLES THANKSGIVING SPECIAL :
ATTCS was a wonderful evening of Thanksgiving spoils and epic generosity from the Dreamers. We unlocked 2 different tiers during the evening showcasing turtles typically not ran during any of our speedrun attempts. The Mikey and Donatello run was really fun and would qualify for 3rd place if it were our only run for Normal. Speaking of Normal runs, we also improved the World Record to 20:24.
We were also able to introduce one of the many Partnerships that myself and the Dream Stream has decided to work with together to provide high-quality content and high-quality products.
RETRO FRIDAYS :
Was beyond epic!
We had the legendary sinister1 with us once again. This means we were running co-op Chip 'N Dale : Rescue Rangers Any% speedruns. The night showed constant improvement and progress as we really started to nail our "Flower Route" throughout the run. The Flower Route is an important segment of CnD Co-op due to needing extra lives to pull off advantageous time saves with what is called "Death Abuse." Death Abuse refers to being able to use deaths in a game to SAVE time rather than being a detriment for dying and not progressing the game further towards the end goal (which typically is completion.)
All of this hoopla and what for? A 9:56 which is now the official 2nd best time for CnD. There was a run done in 2014 by sinister1 and Feasel that was their personal best of 9:57 even though it has yet to be turned into the review committee for CnD leaderboards on Speedrun.com. With such rapid success sinister1 and I have decided we are going to up the riskiness of our strats to get huge improvements on time as our current strats will leave us short of the current World Record of 9:27 by Cyghfer and Blechy.
The evening was far from over. Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts Level 7 was still haunting the deepest recesses of our brains. Hour after hour of failed attempts led to a moment of clarity and sheer determination. I could feel the Dreamers willing to me maintain focus and vanquish the foul demons who had entrapped OUR Princess.
HOW DARE THEY?
With that energy and renewed focus we took to the task and eradicated the Level 7 bosses. Yet, one more evil Demon King blocked our path to the Princess. Once Sardius was destroyed the monkey on my back left immediately. The epicness is highlighted right here. With both of those crowning moments wrapped into one stream I knew the night was as good as it gets and we had to share our positive vibes elsewhere; Dream Raid style.
Stressed Saturdays await us under a Bloodmoon light in the Darkest and Dankest of Dungeons.
