Дуже несподівано дізналась про Hive. Якось ввечері хлопець запитав в мене "Чи хотіла би ти бути блогеркою?". Тоді до цього питання я поставилась не дуже серйозно але все ж таки вислухала його думку. Він у свою чергу дізнався про цю мережу від друга який дізнався від знайомого який.... ну ви розумієте)). Ось трохи поміркувала і вирішила - а дійсно, чому б не спробувати, можливо саме це моє покликання - писати. Тож, як годиться, мій перший допис буде про МЕНЕ.
I found out about Hive unexpectedly. Once my boyfriend asked “Would you consider yourself as a blogger?” That day I wasn’t very serious about this whole blogger thing but anyway decided to listen his thought on this topic. He, in turn, discovered information from a friend. Word of mouth, you know. After a while I decided – why not, maybe it’s something I need right now, maybe, writing is my calling. So… here we are and as it should be my first post is about ME.

Звуть мене Катерина, трохи більше п'яти років мешкаю у Києві але народилась не тут. Свій шлях почала у чудовому Донецьку але, нажаль, так сталось що довелось покинути домівку та розпочати майже нове життя - без батьків, друзів та улюблених речей. Наразі не скаржусь ні на що тому що саме це зробило мене тією людиною якою я є зараз.
My name is Kate and I’m currently living in Kiev (it’s been more than 5 years already) but I wasn’t born here. I started my life-long journey in wonderful Donetsk but unfortunately had to leave this city and start a new life – without parents, friends and favorite stuff. I’m not complaining ‘cause that’s exactly what helped me to become a person I am now.
Близька тринадцяти років займалась танцями. Приймала участь у багатьох концентах у рідному місті, одного разу нас навіть запросили відпочивати у Артек (на цілий місяць!) але там звісно також треба було танцювати на концерті. Так я перший раз опинилась у Криму і до цього дня він займає своє окреме місце у моємо серці. Далі, коли навчалась в універі також приймала участь у Дебюті та щорічних Юморинах. На останніх курсах моє захоплення навіть перейшло у щось більше ніж просто хобі і мені пощастило працювати у неймовірному колективі InFANLim (чим я досі пишаюсь) але вже тоді я розуміла що технічно була не на рівні з професіоналами.
I dedicated thirteen years of my life to dancing. Took part at numerous concerts in my native town and even once our team was invited to Artek (for a whole month!) where we also had to dance, of course. It was my first time in Crimea and since then it holds a very special pace in my heart. Then, when I was older and studied at the University, I took part at different shows such as Debute and annual Jumorinas. Being a graduate my passion transformed into something more than just a hobby and I was lucky to become a member of a fabulous team called inFANLim (still proud of that) even though I was a much weaker dancer than other ones in the crew.
А далі, після закінчення університету все, як то кажуть, як у тумані. Переїзд, пошук роботи, зміна роботи, зміна квартири, знов зміна роботи... Отже зараз я працюю у школі з вивчення англійської мови академічним менеджером і поки мене все влаштовує. А що буде далі - подивимось.
After graduation everything, as they say, is kind of a blur. Moving to another city, job seeking, apartment changing, and once again – a new job… So at the moment I’m working as an academic manager at an English language school and for now I’m good with that. We’ll see what happens next.
Також маю відчуття що повинна вам розповісти трохи більше про себе, тому і склала цей лист з деяких фактів:
- маю двох чудових пацючків за домашніх улюбленців (Кіру та Тріс);
- ОБОЖНЮЮ собак але ніколи не мала жодної ((;
- полюбляю грати у настольні ігри, найулюбленіша - Манчкін;
- до нестями люблю поїсти і, як наслідок, і все що пов'язано з кулінарною темою;
- нещодавно почала вивчати векторну графіку у Adobe Illustrator і щє тільки роблю перші кроки у цьому напрямку;
- маю дві егоїстичні мрії - придбати квартиру, придбати машину і не обов'язково у такій послідовності;
- не люблю фотографуватись;
- хочу здійснити довжелезний автотріп країнами Європи та Скандинавії;
- вважаю Друзі найкращім серіалом (пробачте, але все ж таки Гра престолів отримує друге місце. Мій лист - мої правила).
I’ve gotta felling that I have to share some more information about myself so here some facts about me:
- have got two pet rets (Kira and Tris);
- ADORE dogs but have never had one ((;
- like playing board games, Munchkin is my favorite;
- insanely in love with eating and as a result with everything on this topic;
- recently started learning vector graphics in Adobe illustrator, just making my first steps;
- have two self-centered dreams – to buy an apartment, to buy a car, not necessarily in this order;
- don’t like people taking photos of me;
- would like to have a car trip through Europe and Scandinavian countries;
- consider Friends as the best TV show of all times (sorry The Game of Thrones, you’ve got the second place. My blog – my rules).
