Uber tips and tricks while driving

Hi guys and gals,

I drive in Montreal, but these tips generally will appeal to any driver anywhere.

TIP#1

So while driving, what I had noticed is that when waiting for a customer to arrive, once you had reached the pickup point was you had to go about calculating the five minutes that you had to wait before calling the passenger a no show, and that would sometimes lead to support saying you were only there 4 minutes and 35 secs, etc, lol...

Now once the five minutes is up, you will see this symbol popup:

This is your signal that the five minutes is up and you can cancel the ride and receive your no show fee.(for those that use Uber alot, I would recommend you being ready when your Uber is near ;)).

Here is where you select the No show:

For those of you who are saying its bad business and a driver should wait, please remember that time is money ;). This sounds ruthless but reverse the role and put yourself as a driver..this also does not affect the reputation of the driver..

TIP#2

When you arrive at your destination, its always advisable to flash your four ways(hazards) as it keeps you visible to traffic around you and as well is a kind of unwritten rule between passengers and drivers to look for the flashing ;).

TIP#3

When a passenger makes a mess in your car(and I mean any mess guys..not only a large mess..I once received compensation for someone that left gum stuck to a seat), make sure you stop away from the dropoff, and take pictures before cleaning the vehicle as these will be used as evidence by Uber support to compensate you for the mess.

Don't be cleaning up for free!! A fee for someone being sick in your car is 150$(Passengers take note to not bring sick friends in an Uber ride with you! You will literally pay for it).

To do this from the app, select the ride that the mess occured in:

Then select issue with a rider:

and the rider made a mess in my vehicle:

then you get to the pictures and any other description in the notes, then press submit:

TIP#4

Check that your vehicle is clean after a ride if at all possible. I know, I know...sometimes its one ride after another, but I was lucky one time to have honest passengers that gave me another passengers wallet. So try at least to take a peak back to make sure its clean and free of trash.

Thanks all and feel free to follow and if you are considering driving in Montreal, please use my code, as you can be paid from Uber after thirty rides(a typical weekend for me) and so will I..win win!:
