Ubisoft is expanding by adding to new studios to its dynamics. Ubisoft Mumbai and Ubisoft Odesa in India and Ukraine respectively, are officially announced and ready for action. With Ubisoft's release schedule and how its game development processes are organised between studios, its safe to say that Ubisoft Mumbai would be adhere to its support role rather than be tasked with anything new in the immediate future at least. These studios happen to be stationed in Mumbai, India, and in Odesa, Ukraine. Meanwhile, Ubisoft Mumbai will begin to operate in June and will report to Jean-Philippe Pieuchot, Managing Director of Ubisoft Pune. "Ubisoft first came to Kiev 10 years ago and since then the team grew and took on challenging projects, but alongside Kiev, we have always been interested in Odesa and thus the flawless occasion for us to show this was by opening an office there", said Sébastien Delen, Managing Director for Eastern European Hub studios (Romania, Ukraine and Serbia), Ubisoft. According to GamesIndustry.biz, Pieuchot said that the company was interested in Mumbai due to its "unique talent pool" and "large population". "Our ambition is to contribute towards the development of the Indian videogame ecosystem by partnering closely with top schools and institutions". The MD for Eastern European Hub studios, under which the Odesa location falls, Sébastien Delen, commented: "Ubisoft first came to Kiev 10 years ago and since then the team grew and took on challenging projects, but alongside Kiev, we have always been interested in Odesa and thus the ideal occasion for us to show this was by opening an office there". One is located in Mumbai, India and the other is in Odesa, Ukraine. Ten employees are now there, however plans to hire 60 more people are underway. This studio will be run by Adrian Serbanescu, Studio Manager of Ubisoft Kiev. This side of the company will focus on Ghost Recon and help Ubisoft with said series.
