UFC Top 10 Pound For Pound @ The Moment

Here we go, please comment and leave your opinions :

#10
Khabib Nurmagomedov (26-0-0)

The mauler has the best ground game in the sport. That's why he's undefeated. He's tough and physically imposing. He has flaws though. His stand up defense and offense are both sub par. Is he tough enough to take shots, and continue to maul his opponents to the mat? I think Ferguson is his kryptonite.

#9
Tony Ferguson (25-3-0)

What a dreadful fight for anybody. He's long, strong, resilient, unorthodox. Just a nightmare opponent. That's why he hasn't lost since 2012. I think he beats Nurmagomedov. He can inflict damage from the bottom, and is a nightmare to keep down.

#8
Conor McGregor (21-3-0)

Last time he fought in the octagon, he knocked out Eddie Alvarez. That's no easy feat. Put the boxing match aside, you must respect what he's done in the octagon. His conditioning and stamina are sub par, and his ground game is average. I see tough times ahead for the double champ. I think Khabib, Ferguson, and St. Pierre would all beat him. We'll see who he fights next.

#7
Tyron Woodley (18-3-1)
tyr.jpg

Tyron fights cautiously, which hasn't produced exiting fights. That aside, he's legit one of the best. He's so powerful with his hands and wrestling, plus he's conditioned. Covington doesn't hit hard enough. He'd get knocked out. A superfight with Robert Whitaker or George St. Pierre would be the toughest challenges.

#6
TJ Dillashaw (16-3-0)

TJ is so skilled and conditioned. Only one man in his division can challenge him. That's Cody Garbrandt. Tj showed heart and used his skills to knock Garbrandt out in their first meeting. I see Cody winning round two, setting up an epic trilogy.

#5
Cris Cyborg (20-1-0)
cyborg.jpg

Cris Cyborg is in a league of her own. Maybe Amanda Nunes has a chance. Cyborg is bigger and stronger than all of her opponents. It's like a high schooler competing against middle school kids. No competition. Plus she is so composed out there, experienced. She's got all the tools. No wonder no one wants to fight her.

#4
Daniel Cormier (20-1-0)

Cormier can bear wrestle anyone in his division and win. He likes to bang though. The only man that poses a threat is Stipe Miocic. We'll see if Daniel can take the big man down. If so, i think he ground and pounds his way to a win.

#3
Stipe Miocic (18-2-0)
Stipe.jpg

Stipe's a versatile big bear. He can fight big and strong to handle Ngannou, but also agile and slick to beat Overeem and Dos Santos. Cormier's the only one that can present him a challenge with the advanced wrestling. I see it going one of two ways: Stipe KO / Cormier wrestle's his way to a decision.

#2
Goerge St Pierre (26-2-0)
Goerge st pierre.jpg

I know Michael Bisping isn't the cream of the crop, but St. Pierre looked just about his old self. The power double is still there, and his jab and advanced boxing are good enough to win decisions. I think he beats McGregor in a catchweight superfight.

#1
Demetrious Johnson (27-2-1)
Demitrious Johnson.jpg

Demetrious hasn't been challenged in years. In his most recent fight, he pulled off a trick shot - suplex to arm bar submission win. The only guy that can challenge him at the moment would be the winner of Tj Dillashaw / Cody Garbrandt. I think Demetrious beats either of the two.

Snub: Max Holliday

Sort:

Max Holloway definitely deserves to be in that list man, 12-0 since losing to McGregor (he was only 22 at the time) destroyed Aldo twice and defeated many top fighters. His resume is way better that at least 3 of the fighters you got in your list.

Apart from that your list is pretty solid.

It was tough leaving him off the list. Halloway can arguably replace any of the bottom three on this list. But i don't think he beats any of them.

That's not the way you make a top pound for pound list. Following your logic Demetrius should be out of this list coz outside of Dillashaw he would never beat any top pound for pound fighter.
