Ummm, this hard to put into words. Mostly because anything i say will be lacking when it comes to explaining the destruction that is coming.
This was a plan. We have seen McDs talk about automating systems for a long while now.
And every time congress votes to raise minimum wages, means another rung of the job ladder has been cut out.
And then we still have people saying "go to school, get a good job, work hard…" WHEN ALL OF THAT IS GONE. That life path is currently a no-mans land. Trying hard will just mean that you get cut up by razor-wire.
AND!!! this was all planned. The oligarchs want the robots to make everything, and humans to go off and die. Except for the few that do not disobey and are useful.
To solve this we need to make our own economy. Starting with Garage built stuff / distributed manufacturing. Because the current plan is UBI and 15 minute cities open air prisons.
