Agate sellers now complain. The precious stone that once boomed was now not sold even though it was on sale.
Zulkarnain, one of the sellers of agate accessories, in Meulaboh, said on Thursday that the agate booming period was over, now the people were hard to buy it.
"Although fans of agate are quiet, but I keep selling because there are no other jobs. I only sell half a day," he said.
Agate sold is not raw material, but has been made as accessories such as stone rings, bracelets and pendants for necklaces, the selling price varies depending on the type of stone material.
The price sold is also in accordance with the type and quality of stone lighting and size, such as the material of Batu Jade Jade Rp 150 thousand per seed to the most expensive Rp 300 thousand per seed, Batu Solar Aceh Rp 100 thousand per seed to the most expensive Rp 300 thousand per seed.
Then Indocrase Aceh stones cost Rp150 thousand to Rp300 thousand per seed, Batu Madu starting from Rp. 100,000 to Rp. 200 thousand. Blackjade Rp.100 thousand to Rp. 200 thousand, Rp. 100,000 to Rp. 300 thousand per seed.

"Within a month it is only able to sell as many as 15 stone collections, so it cannot be ascertained how much turnover can be obtained from the sale because the buyer is uncertain," he said.
Zulkarnain continued, even the current buyers were not from the local but from outside the Province of Aceh, especially those from outside who visited the local area.
Even though in the digital era, Zulkarnain admitted that he did not use internet facilities in selling agate because he did not master how to trade online.
"The items that I sell are indeed local agate, which has been formed into accessories. The buyers are almost on average from outside Aceh, including there are also from neighboring districts who came to buy agate in Meulaboh," he said.
