It sounds like you had a nice healthy reset.
It Made Me Feel Icky...
The world has gotten more connected and more chaotic and pulling away from the intensity of it all is a good thing. I think we all need a refresh and some perspective on life every once in a while. Especially these days.
Knowing when and where we want to invest our time into in the days of constant connectivity and always on 24/7 access can be challenging. One thing I've done lately is to focus on "owned" content and destinations vs. "shared" social media. I'm retaining my brain to go to my website/blogs, newsletter, Hive BEFORE I go to traditional social media. This is week two of this new habit and it's getting easier. Those first few days were a real challenge. Reaching for my phone to check X or FB or LinkedIn to see what I had missed only to remind myself I could only go to those places AFTER I had created content or worked on my own online properties. It's been good to develop some new healthier digital habits.
Sending best wishes. Cheers!
No doubt, it gets a little much, the constant barrage of information over-load.
That's a great strategy. Pretty much how I'm going to be handling my social media strategy these days.
Good to hear from you, thanks for the awesome comment!
