I wanna get more contact of you to consult with you about Philippines..
I am looking for a retirement country in Asia .. I am a small entrepreneur who still in my early 40th living in Europe.. but in the last 3 years I ve been exploring some Asian countries .. Thailand, Vietnam, Malysia, few more neighboring ones... mostly stayed in thailand with my Thai girl back and forth between Europe and thailand many times.. decided to stay longer ne’er in thailand .. however, I ve founded it difficult to communicate in English outside the tourist areas.. which are good for short visits but not for long stays as it’s tourist prices lol
singapore is easy to communicate in English almost every where .. but it’s also expensive to live unless you have a job or nice business there.
I never been to Philippines, which I wanna give it a try for few visits to explore it . I heard that English is much and widely used in Philippines more than thailand. But I don’t know if this ease of language feature is tied only to tourist areas only or could be in cheap local areas which still good to enjoy living there..
so when I saw your post and I knew your story, I wanted to consult with you the reality about Philippines ( cost of living vs. reliable English level .. not only as a tourist but as retired person who maybe go complicated issues like starting business).
I tried to explore some business in thailand, but you have to pay tons of doubles of consultation fees for the few top companies who can speak professional English.. and even if started small business I ll be depending 99% of my girlfriend ( not a nice feeling) .. so I am wondering is it the same when it comes to Philippines ? Or one can easily find his way to live ( and maybe start a small business) without the the need to 24 hour interpreter or the professional elite.?
where to start exploring in Philippines? Which one can spend about 2-3 k USD max to “live” comfortably .. communicate easily ... and explore biz opportunities ?
