Reading @ybanezkim26's, @smaeunabs' and @reewritesthings' ulogs encouraged me to write mine as well. This first ever ulog is dedicated to a the man behind this meaningful series - @surpassinggoogle.
I realized that that’s what I’ve been doing towards you after all. Look at me, a mere minnow missing the chance to get to work with you all because I couldn’t understand just how deep you were. I guess that this is one of the flaws of my mere human mind. I consider myself genuinely curious but when it comes to things thrown at me that I don’t understand - I resist.
I remember like it was yesterday when I added you up on Facebook and you messaged me that you knew that day would come. Feelings of entitlement filled me up at first. I said to myself, “Ha, @surpassinggoogle noticed me. I must be doing good on Steemit.” It was self-centered, I know, and I ended up destroying something that could’ve been valuable beyond the platform - a chance to have a deep conversation with someone as wise as you. Among the many mistakes that I’ve made in my life, I kept telling myself that “It was one of those times that you were that stupid, Gail. Forgive yourself and move on. Make sure that you never make that mistake again.”
With all the audacity that an ignorant person can possibly show, I asked @surpassinggoogle
“Why do you do all the things that you do, Terry?”
The limitations of online messaging might’ve covered up the tone of my questioning. I wanted to know if deep down, Terry had a motivation that’ll only push forth his self-interest. My Economics teacher would always quote Adam Smith in class -
“It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest."
I’ve always, somehow, incorporated this learning in the way I read and observe other people. "That’s just how we were wired," I say in justification for my thinking of this. I was abrasive and I still think I lost a great opportunity because of that.
It goes without saying that this first Ulog is a sort of public apology to @surpassinggoogle and to everyone that I’ve rubbed off the wrong way. I’m ignoring all the shame that goes along with this because isn’t that what ulogs were for?
To Terry, keep doing the good that you do.
To myself, it's high time you learn to let some confusion in. Some are worth the shot.
To the rest of the Steemians out there, I encourage you to make your own ulogs too!

Hahaha i laughed because i saw this coming. You are special. You just dont know it yet or just how much and alot told here. Your books can't work if you are to understand my depth because "no books" involved. One of the rarest traits till date is "substance" and that it is, that you were seeking. In your case, there is one simple line that will drastically open your eyes and it is this "nations are locations", the spanlessness and deep context of those words will fix you and just there after, you will fly, wings or no wings for you have "lit" in you and it very much just showed

Terry! Thank you for taking the time to do this. I gave your comment a three-time read because I wanted to read between the lines to get the "undertone" of your message. Hopefully, when we do see each other face-to-face, I will have earned it. To make sure that I understand you better, I will take it upon myself to understand your depth. You say that you are down-to-earth, your actions prove you are just so. But your mind, Terry, it's out-of-this-world. I have but yet to understand what "nations are locations" mean. Thank you for believing in us. You are a celebrity :)
