Student life
It was a tiring day after summer class sessions and we where all fed up with bunch of tasks to do and assignments to fulfill plus some upcoming tests to measure our learning so we had to make some recreational activities to wind up and get away from these kinds of stress. Being a student can also be tiring sometimes but it can also be fun. We know that we will be able to make something big someday but we must also remember to give time to ourselves, to communicate with each other, to socialize with new people and also to try new things.
So after the class it was around 5 p.m. we decided to visit the court and hope that there would be a ball available to be use, Luckily, we had met some of students that are warming up so we directly approach them if we could have a game with them just for fun , they responded positively. The game winner point is at 21 pt. mark, Inside shots are 1 point and beyond the 3 point line is a 2 point.
Tip-off
I volunteered to be the referee of the game and anyone who does not agree with my decision will be given a technical foul, just kidding. My classmate teamed up vs. The marines (which owns the ball).
Game start
The first part of the game was kind of chill it went 4 to 5 in favor of the opposing team which is the marines, it was just the calm before the storm, There was only one foul committed on the side of our team and the opposing team is given a 1 free throw and they sank it in at ease.
Intensity arise
The game went 8 to 7 in favor of my classmates, and that is where the physicality begins. The game was so intense that in every possession there is always a foul committed plus the defense on each team are brought on a higher scale, you can really feel the air that is so intense while watching the game. I, as a referee must stay focused on every possession so that there would be no unexpected casualties to happen, It is also a critical part of being a referee on making decisions because that is also a huge factor on controlling the flow of the game.
Lost but happy
At the end, the marines won the game and we all shake hands and thanked each other for a nice game. Fortunately there were no injuries that is reported. We all talked after the game and laughed on every mistakes they did during the game. They are also determined to play again with them and take the win next time.
