As a momma, I always find ways to keep the children occupied if I need to do some cooking at the kitchen because I really don't prefer to cook halfway and being interrupted.
My number one go-to way is to let him do some watercolor painting as painting can really buy time. Every strokes, every change of colours requires time.
Today, my eldest was out with daddy to run some errand and I was with my second son. I laid out a piece on newspaper, gave him the coloring book, water colour, water and paint brush, telling him to spend some time on his own while mummy did some cooking for lunch.
He really enjoyed it...!
Because I enjoyed cooking for the whole time without being interrupted. I was a happy momma! He did talk out loud saying he would love to do some handpainting and of course I said yes!
After half an hour (quick cook as the preps were all done prior), I served the dishes on the table and he gave a super duper happy look, impressed by his art work.
Hand painting, literally!
Because there was no hands on the paper at all! He really meant painting while I heard hand-printing. Lol...
Good thing I didn't take long to cook or else he would be painting the whole arm as well, saying "I could really turn blue, you know, mummy?"
