Como todos, cuando creamos un perfil ya sea en una red social o en una pagina web, al llegar en la parte donde te muestra los términos y condiciones de la plataforma y te dice si aceptas o no, no nos molestamos en leer todo y simplemente aceptamos dichos términos.
Uno puede pensar que sea una tontearía darle en aceptar y salir del paso para poder disfrutar de la experiencia que nos ofrece X plataforma la cual estamos intentando ingresar por primera vez, nada mas lejos de la realidad. Uno de los temas mas importantes que se ha hablado y que ha sido noticia mundial es el caso Cambridge Analytica por el uso indebido de datos de millones de usuarios por la plataforma, a pesar de que uno de los puntos dentro de las condiciones es que aceptamos darle nuestros datos a la plataforma es totalmente injustificable que se hayan usado de manera incorrecta.
A pesar de ello, como muchos de nosotros, Facebook fue nuestra primera red social que abrimos desde pequeños y recuerdo que desde un principio se usaba mas que todo por los juegos y que luego nos marcaron la infancia, a medida de que fuimos creciendo y madurando la plataforma seguiría esos pasos en paralelo y se transformaría en la red social de los memes y videos de risa hasta ahora, desde mi experiencia puedo decir que solo entro a Facebook con fines humorísticos y para compartir videos o imágenes sobre memes.
Algunos quizás recuerden que al momento de abrir una cuenta en Facebook la fecha de nacimiento la teníamos que poner muchos años atrás de la verdadera fecha ya que Facebook en ese entonces no permitía menores de edad en la plataforma, al pasar los años ha cambiado y ahora mismo se permite menores de edad solo a partir de los 13 años.
En general, y quizás para muchos, Facebook ha pasado de moda y ahora son otras plataformas las que mas se usan, para mi, Facebook sigue siendo una red social muy interesante donde puedes encontrar diferente tipo de contenido mas allá de lo humorístico como mencione anteriormente; desde seguir paginas que te recomienden pelis/series, hasta grupos de cocina u otro tipo de contenido para aprender y que nos sirva en nuestra vida cotidiana.
Like everyone else, when we create a profile on a social network or website, when we get to the part where it shows us the platform's terms and conditions and asks us whether we accept them or not, we don't bother to read everything and simply accept those terms.
One might think that it is silly to click “accept” and move on so that we can enjoy the experience offered by platform X, which we are trying to access for the first time, but nothing could be further from the truth. One of the most important issues that has been discussed and has made global headlines is the Cambridge Analytica case involving the misuse of millions of users' data by the platform. Even though one of the points in the terms and conditions is that we agree to give our data to the platform, it is totally unjustifiable that it has been used incorrectly.
Despite this, like many of us, Facebook was the first social network we joined as children, and I remember that from the beginning it was used mainly for games, which then marked our childhood. As we grew up and matured, the platform followed suit and became the social network for memes and funny videos that it is today. From my experience, I can say that I only go on Facebook for humorous purposes and to share videos or images about memes.
Some may remember that when we opened a Facebook account, we had to put a date of birth that was many years before our actual date of birth, as Facebook did not allow minors on the platform at that time. Over the years, this has changed, and now minors are only allowed on the platform from the age of 13.
In general, and perhaps for many, Facebook has gone out of fashion and now other platforms are more widely used. For me, Facebook is still a very interesting social network where you can find different types of content beyond humor, as I mentioned earlier, from following pages that recommend movies/series to cooking groups or other types of content to learn and use in our daily lives.
