Yikes, it amazes me how much there is to this stuff. I never realized how games were structured before, but I'm starting to learn. Right now I'm learning how to program in C# so that I can eventually make a short game with some of the blender renders that I end up making. I feel that this year is going to be ridiculous because I'll be learning 3-d modeling, programming video editing and after effects, motion tracking, and animation. All I can say is that I feel alive! I'm up for the challenge. My goal is to literally learn everything that I have been missing to allow me to make a project from start to finish. If I can do the entire thing, I'll be able to make some pretty cool shit here in the next year. I'm sick of waiting on others for getting shit done. I didn't want to have to do it all on my own, but I don't want to say the hell with my dreams. I want to make board games and turn them into digital games, preferably ones that can be put onto the Playable platform. I don't know, everyday I'm a little bit more competent. I would imagine that if I keep up the trend, I'll one day, be absolutely incredible.... We'l see though lol
Oh well, I'm full of excitement either way. Here's to the future!
I really love Unity :) I hope you enjoy the learning process! And of course Unity has a great community!
Nice to see new Game Devs :)
Yeah, I love to learn new things in general. If I could get paid to just learn new skills, I would do that in a heartbeat. I wasn't sure if i wanted to start in Unity, or go to Unreal first. I don't know, I might just learn them both.
Unreal is something i got pending, right now im working on a html5 css js game, and looking libraries. Finally i think i will go with Phaser.io.
And you are right :) learn new things is great!!!
good luck! this is the beginning of a great journey!
I'm hoping so. I always wanted to learn how to make games. I use to use the Rpg Maker for Ps1 way back in the day and loved that, so I can imagine how great this will end up being!
it's a journey for people who have the courage to not give up and go long term. you just gotta keep learning!
i'm learning too 😃
but it's fun
