The renown QS World University Rankings recently shared that ETH Zurich has made it into the top 10 for the very first time.
This jump was primary driven by rebalancing metrics used in the methodology used for the ranking - bringing down weights from Medical & Life Science to other areas.

ETH Zurich has achieved its highest overall rating of the past four years with a total score of 95.5 in this year’s QS World University Rankings. This score puts it in the top 10 for the first time: ETH Zurich is now in ninth place, up from 12th place last year. Author: Peter Reggie
Staff at ETH is proud to learn the hard work of an international team is rewarded this way. And they should, since its nice story that highlights how good international teams, do win.
Its been now roughly five years since I was granted the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships for Foreign Scholars to study at this University - one of the largest financial awards I am aware of.
Moments like this remind us of how furtunate we are to have pursued such high-quality education. More importantly, it brings perspective to fulfil the one commitment all graduates share with each other - to actually do something positive with this degree. For themselves, their families and their society!
As Bill Gates said, "...From Those To Whom Much Is Given, Much Is Expected..."
