Steem Basic Income
Steem Basic Income is a social experiment to bring a basic income to as many Steemians as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Steem Basic Income is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content.
Upvotes by Voting Account
Our automated system selects the highest VP account that can deliver the upvote value each time. If the full vote cannot be delivered by a single account, the post may be upvoted by several accounts. Only the rshares value actually voted is removed from the member's pending upvote balance.
This shows the total number of upvotes (without respect to size) delivered in the last week. 7636 total upvotes, 2429 accounts upvoted, 10 voting accounts! The biggest boxes belong to members that have a high enough SBI subscription level to get regular upvotes that exceed the minimum threshold.
A more common way to look at voting distribution is by vote weight. This is more meaningful when reviewed by voting account. We publish regular upvote history reports for each voting account, and the regular report for @steembasicincome is published by @sbi-booster.
Sustainability Coverage and VP Management
Sustainability Coverage is currently at 87.52% and rshares reward rate is 700,156,320 per SBI unit per day.
The rshares reward rate for bonus units (delegation reward) is not decreased. It is higher, to return curation rewards to our delegators. You can help increase the sustainability coverage (and thus the rshares reward rate on regular units) by delegating to @steembasicincome.

Upvoting Reward multipliers are currently at 1.10x until our voting power (VP) recovers to 80%.
Enrollment
To enroll in Steem Basic Income, or to increase the level of basic income that you receive, enrollment is pretty straightforward:
Just send 1 STEEM to @steembasicincome. Include the name of a Steemian to sponsor in the transaction memo (preceded by @). You and the person you sponsor will each receive 1 share in the program. You can sponsor any active Steemian (excluding yourself), it does not have to be a current member. Multiples of 1 STEEM are also fine (e.g. 5 STEEM with one name means 5 SBI for each of you).
We currently recommend a subscription level of at least 3 SBI to ensure an upvote is received at least once per week. Increasing your subscription level results in more frequent upvotes until you are being upvoted on every post. Then it results in larger upvotes instead.

The official currency for enrollment is STEEM. We accept SBD at our discretion but you do not receive extra value or any partial refund for paying in SBD instead of STEEM. If we choose to accept an SBD enrollment, we accept the entire amount. If we choose to reject it, we refund the entire amount and request you to send STEEM instead.
Enrollments are processed automatically every 144 minutes.

Did not realize the upload was destroying image resolution. Will try uploading to steemit or steempeak first next time instead of busy and see if that gives us better image resolution.
Is it a JPEG? If so, that might be the problem right there. JPEG works best for continuous tone photographs, but PNG files tend to be better for text.
You can see the image with better resolution if you use busy or steempeak...

This breaks GIFs too, actually. My theory is that locally hosting all the image files they show makes it easier for them to comply with DMCA notices. Theoretically I can resolve by uploading the higher resolution original to Steemit in the first place.
