Bejuma is a municipality in the state of Carabobo, in Venezuela (South America). At first glance it looks like a typical place in my country, with urban and human archetypes that place you in a Latin American city, but it is not quite so.
Something that caught my attention in Bejuma were its narrow streets, which seem like endless corridors or guides to a landscape with endearing people.
I met Angel, a photographer who accompanied me to take pictures of the place. And at every moment I stopped to contemplate the infinitude of the roads.
Bejuma es un municipio del estado Carabobo, en Venezuela (Sudamérica). A simple vista parece un típico lugar de mi país, con arquetipos urbanos y humanos que te sitúan en una ciudad latinoamericana, pero no lo es así del todo.
Algo que me llamó la atención de Bejuma fueron sus estrechas calles, que parecen pasillos interminables o guías hacia un paisaje con gente entrañable.
Conocí a Ángel, un fotógrafo que me acompañó a tomar fotografías del sitio. Y a cada momento me detenía a contemplar la finitud de los caminos.
Unlike other cities I have been to, Bejuma's streets are long. And its architecture is made up of straight lines, whether in ditches, walls, sidewalks, etc.
It is not a big city, but a town with houses dating from the nineteenth century, but with an air of modernity in the center, with shops like anywhere.
I share these photos of the urban corridors of Bejuma.
A diferencia de otras ciudades donde he estado, las calles de Bejuma son largas. Y su arquitectura está hecha a base de líneas rectas, bien sea en zanjas, paredes, aceras, etc.
No es una ciudad grande, sino un pueblo con casas que datan del siglo XIX, pero con aires de modernidad en el Centro, con locales comerciales como los de cualquier lado.
