Terme abbandonate del Bagnolo - Fotografia di esplorazione urbana
La ragione per cui mi piace fare urbex (una delle ragioni) è la temporaneità dei luoghi visitati. Non si sa per quanto tempo ancora saranno accessibili o visitabili. Ogni foto diventa quindi un raro pezzo da collezione, il documento di una realtà che potrebbe scomparire da un momento all'altro. Questo è il caso di una delle prime mete che ho visitato nella mia carriera da urbexara, un complesso con hotel e terme abbandonate a Monterotondo Marittimo (Grosseto). L'ho visitato due volte, poi è stato chiuso per ristrutturazione.
Trattasi di due edifici, un hotel sulla strada con un grande salone, un banco/reception, una cucina e 3 piani di camere; di là dalla strada, un edificio con camere ed impianti termali.
Durante entrambe le mie visite sono stata accompagnata da una leggera pioggia che mi teneva in ascolto di ogni singolo rumore o scricchiolio.

The reason why I like urbexing so much (well, one of the reasons) is the temporality of the places I visit. It is unknown how long they will keep being accessible or visitable. Each photo becomes a rare collector's item, the document of a reality that could disappear at any moment. This is the case of one of the first destinations I have visited in my urbexer career, a complex with an abandoned hotel and a thermal spa in Monterotondo Marittimo (Grosseto, Tuscany). I visited twice, then it went closed for renovation.
It was two buildings, a hotel on the street with a large hall, a reception desk, a kitchen and 3 floors of bedrooms; beyond the street, a building with rooms and spa facilities.
During both my visits I was accompanied by a light rain that kept me listening to every single noise or crunch.
Ho sempre trovato chiusa la porta principale, mentre aperta era l'entrata sul retro, attraverso la quale si accedeva alla cucina. La cucina era forse la stanza più spettrale, grazie ad una luce verdastra dovuta sia alla muffa che alle mattonelle. Ricordo che la prima volta che la visitai, c'erano due carte da gioco incastrate nella stufa. Peccato che al tempo non avessi un buon obiettivo.
The main door has always been closed, but we could get in through the back entrance, and access the kitchen. The kitchen was perhaps the creepiest room, thanks to a greenish light due to both mold and tiles. I remember that the first time I visited, there were two playing cards stuck in the stove. Too bad that at the time I did not have good camera lenses.

Circa tre piani dell'albergo sono esclusivamente composti da camere, alcune dotate di pipistrelli e, l'ultima volta che ho visitato, anche una nidiata di gattini dentro ad un armadio.
About three floors of the hotel are exclusively composed of rooms, some with bats and, the last time I visited, even a brood of kittens inside a closet.

Dall'altra parte della strada, l'edificio con gli impianti termali e altrettanti 3 piani di camere. Sono rimasta affascinata dalle geometrie create dalla tromba delle scale.
Across the street, the building with spa facilities and as many as 3 floors of rooms. I was fascinated by the geometries created by the stairwell.

La parte più caratteristica dell'edificio sono sicuramente gli impianti termali. Non avevo mai visto stanze come quella della foto, strette e lunghe, con una piccola vasca termale per una sola persona o forse due. Decisamente la mia foto preferita di tutto il set. Molto interessante anche un'altra stanza sotto terra con le macchine per aerosol.
The most characteristic part of the building is definitely the spa rooms. I had never seen rooms like the one in the picture, narrow and long, with a small pool for one person or maybe two. Definitely my favorite photo of the whole set. Another underground room with aerosol machines was also very perculiar.

Belle foto e posto intrigante. Per entrare lì dentro in un giorno di pioggia ci vuole coraggio comunque. Sembra l'introduzione perfetta per un film horror! :D
Qui in Ticino ci sono diverse grosse strutture abbandonate, i "sanatori". Erano usati per curare la tubercolosi, ma con l'estinguersi della malattia sono stati abbandonati.
bel post e belle anche le foto, nel loro genere. A me i luoghi abbandonati fanno un po' tristezza. Penso a tutte le persone che sono state lì e magari hanno vissuto momenti importanti della loro vita in quei luoghi.
