They will claim that it is because of various other reasons but I like to think that the fact that over 100 security details who had previously agreed to provide security for the Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee is a response to the Democrat attack on police forces across the nation, at least in their policies and speech.
Personally, this brought a smile to my face because if you pay attention to this recent, and ridiculous crusade against law-enforcement in the United States is is extremely easy to identify which political party is on the side of the police, and which one is not.

I am not a huge fan of police in an overall sense, but I have become rather supportive of them lately because of the stories that I see in these crazy situations in large, liberal cities. It is truly mind-blowing to me that the leaders of these communities, when faced with riots that are literally destroying buildings and injuring people right in front of their eyes, that the leaders of these communities feel as though it would be a good idea to join the side of the rioters.
There is one thing to understand about law-enforcement from a voting bloc point of view: They are one of the largest in the country and they stick together. We are seeing this right now in the simultaneous decision to pull their agreements to staff the DNC party in Milwaukee.
The representatives claim it is because Milwaukee recently banned the use of tear gas and pepper spray because: Reasons. While I am quite certain that is one of the reasons, we all know it isn't the only one.

In the past, police unions have endorsed a multitude of Democrat candidates for President as well as other offices: You can bet your ass they are not going to do so this year.
When I personally say that I can do without police it has everything to do with the notion of self-governance and the 2nd amendment - which is something that works just fine in my community. However, when you look at these large urban areas that take away everyone's 2A rights, that notion can not work.
The people in these communities elected to transfer all of these rights over the police force and now they are complaining that the police force has all the methods of enforcement. Make up your minds because you can't have it both ways!
In my community almost everyone is armed, we have next to zero crime because of both respect and a tinge of mutually assured destruction. We know the sheriff and the deputies and they are friends of ours - these men and women have the easiest jobs in the world because we aren't going to call them and they don't bother us (I have to admit i have gotten out of a traffic ticket or two because of this mutual respect.)
I really have a hard time relating to the people in urban areas - ya'll just seem to want to have your cake and eat it too, then complain about the cake not being sweet enough after its finished and smash the plate and burn down the bakery.
I sincerely hope that these law-enforcement agencies continue to refuse to provide security for these hypocrites having the convention and that they have to hire private security firms in the end. What glorious retribution that would be.
ah good ol' politics... it permeates every aspect of our lives. Of all the talking points that have been brought up the defund the police one might be the most stupid and well, this is what you get.
well it does seem unlikely that a party that demonizes police is going to get a positive response from those very people. Dangerous game Joe is playing here but I really don't think he has much chance of winning anyway, despite the polls we see.
I agree.. and his latest appearances have been driving a wedge in the minority vote that he seems so extremely desperate to maintain.
I would be willing to bet that they can find someone else. Of course this was not covered by the liberal MSM. Had it been the other way around we would have had roundtable talks about it for DAYS!
exactly. Well i wonder who they will get? they will probably use it as a way to demonize the cops of the area... and the liberals will eat it up and add fuel to their anti-cop agenda.
